Founded by Shauna Edwards, a social entrepreneur and natural hair consultant with over 20 years of experience, Natural Mystics Hair Studio & Academy has been a cornerstone of the community for the past decade. Shauna's exceptional skills and heartfelt approach ensure that every client—whether man, woman, or child—receives outstanding service.
Shauna trained at Sisterlocks® Headquarters in San Diego, California under Dr. JoAnne Cornwell, the founder of Sisterlocks® and a Professor Emerita of Africana Studies and French. Her expertise and her team's dedication are showcased at events like the Toronto Natural Hair Show, Atlanta Natural Hair Show by Talia Waheed and New York Natural Hair Show.
When not at the studio, Shauna cherishes quality time with her daughter, Shylah 🦄💕, as well as with family and friends. She also dedicates her time to volunteering at a shelter for battered women and helping refugees arriving in Canada by offering hair styling services to uplift and empower them.

Natural Mystics Gives Back!
Shauna has been actively involved in various community and international initiatives through her ventures. She was invited to the Government of Canada, Black History Month Gala in Ottawa to represent small Black businesses from Brampton, showcasing her leadership and dedication to entrepreneurial growth.
Her community outreach includes volunteering at shelters for refugees arriving in Canada and giving back to single parents through thoughtful initiatives like distributing gift cards.
Her work with Natural Mystic Studio has taken her across the globe, including Africa, where she visited Accra, Ghana, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Cape Town, and Johannesburg. She has collaborated on projects at renowned locations, such as the famous Kempinski Hotel, and immersed herself in local cultures.
In addition, Shauna provides opportunities for university students through internships with Natural Mystic Studio, nurturing young talent while they complete their studies.
